UPDATE FROM BRUCE WILKINSON AND HIS DREAM FOR AFRICA
“Darlene Marie and I would like to thank you so much for your love and prayers during these past nearly three years of living in South Africa. Our love for Africa and its people has grown deep in our hearts. As you may know, we are focusing our efforts on five initiatives: hunger, orphans, poverty, AIDS, and leadership . God is blessing in each area and we are most thankful. For the rest of this year and next, 50% of our attention will be focused on Swaziland and the rest on South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Malawi, and Lesotho. The Lord is providing 1,000s of Americans who come and volunteer with us in the various initiatives. In order to focus more fully on Swaziland, Darlene Marie and I have sold our home in Bryanston (Johannesburg) and leased one in Swaziland. Our main headquarters in Johannesburg is now divided into two with Swaziland. Please know that we are very committed to remain faithful to the task that the Lord has placed before us. We are thrilled with everything that God is doing through the Turn the Tide ministries—how their borders have miraculously expanded! Nothing like praying and living the Prayer of Jabez — for the King of Kings, Bruce and Darlene Marie.”

The Transformation Global Day of Prayer
On 15 May 2005, 145 countries took part (whole of Africa again) in 391 events around S.Africa. Africa is becoming the "Light to the world"! All across the Globe Africans mobilized and organized events. To find out what happened in your areas and to read further updates and reports, click here.

A unified South African Christian Leaders Response to the TSUNAMI disaster in South East Asia 
It has been months since a series of killer tsunamis created the biggest natural disaster in human history. But already, the world has forgotten. Yet, the pain and destruction remain a terribly, ongoing reality for the devastated survivors. Realizing the great need for ongoing reconstruction and rehabilitation drives, the SA Christian Disaster Relief Coalition Network has raised just under R700 000 to aid long term development in countries like Sri Lanka and Indonesia The goal has been to ensure that at least 90% of the money raised would reach the people on the ground. This money has been distributed through networking with the local church in the stricken nations. Of course, within Africa, we are faced with our own “tsunami” of HIV/ Aids on a daily basis. Let us continue to be salt and light and Jesus’ hands and feet and heart of compassion.
The coordinator, Graham Vermooten, has expressed his gratitude to every individual and organization that has generously donated to this cause. Ongoing donations are welcome. SACLA 2005 Promotional Video / CD:
SACLA has produced a 10 minute promotional Video and CD, which deals briefly with Sacla I (1979) and II (2003) and the key issues of unity, prayer, evangelism and action against the seven Giants.
The CD and Video cost R30.00 each (including vat) plus R5.00 for postage. The funds are being used to reproduce CD’s for further distribution. To obtain a copy of the CD or Video you may contact the SACLA National Office on 033- 3471911. | |
